How is therapy conducted?I am currently offering both in-person and virtual sessions to those across the New Jersey & New York State. I am located within a shared integrative space in Montclair NJ with other holistic practitioners, including a functional nutrition health coach, massage therapist, energy healers, and several others!

Do you offer sliding scale?Sliding scales are available on a case-by-base basis. I prioritize each individual’s unique condition to ensure that therapy is accessible. If I am not a fit for you financially, or for any reason otherwise, I am happy to provide you with reputable referrals from my larger mental health network.

Do you offer other services besides traditional psychotherapy? For those who are looking for less "talk therapy," I offer a somatic, psychotherapeutic approached informed by Compassionate Inquiry that draws upon the fields of internal family systems, polyvagal and social engagement theory, the body-stress connection, and somatic experiential practices. These sessions are appropriate for those who are curious about : exploring outdated core belief systems and coping mechanisms no longer serving you looking for more support in holding sensations associated with difficult emotions releasing implicit memories stored in the body from previous traumas Please reach out if you would like to talk about whether the Compassionate Inquiry approach would be appropriate for you, and to learn about rates.

Do you accept insurance?I am an out-of-network provider and do not accept insurance. I am able to provide a super-bill with a necessary billing and diagnosis code for sessions paid for in order to receive the benefits you are entitled to. It is important that you first find out from your insurance company what mental health services are covered by your insurance and what your deductible is.

Is therapy right for me?You do not need to have a mental health diagnosis or be in a crisis situation to begin therapy. Any reason that evokes your curiosity about therapy is a good reason to begin. In fact, ambivalence about the therapeutic process is normal whether you have previously been in therapy before or are entirely new to the process. I offer a 20-minute phone consultation free of charge that can support the qualms and questions you may be having about therapy, in addition to making sure it’s a good fit for the both of us.
Healing takes place on a moment-to-moment basis.
